EdgePrep ("we", "us", or "our") provides an online platform that helps students prepare for senior high school and college entrance examinations through practice questions, mock exams, and AI-powered coaching.

We take your privacy seriously. This policy describes the personal information we handle when you use our website and apps, and it is written to comply with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

02Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account details — your name, email address, and password when you register.
• Study profile— the exams you're targeting, your daily goal, and grade level.

Information collected automatically

• Practice activity — questions attempted, answers chosen, scores, and time spent.
• Device & usage data — browser type, device, and pages visited, used to keep the service reliable.

03How we use it

We use the information we collect to:

• Deliver practice sessions and mock exams tailored to your target exams.
• Calculate your readiness score and track improvement over time.
• Send progress reports and study reminders you've opted into.
• Maintain account security and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Improve our question bank and the accuracy of our explanations.

04AI coaching & your answers

When you use AI coaching features, your answers and the questions you struggle with are processed to generate personalized explanations and recommendations.

This data is used to help you — individual answers are never shared with other students. Aggregated, de-identified patterns may be used to improve our content quality.

05Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers — hosting, analytics, and payment partners bound by confidentiality agreements.
• Legal authorities — only when required by valid legal process under Philippine law.

06Students under 18

Many of our users are minors preparing for high school entrance exams. If you are under 18, you should use EdgePrep with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian.

07Data retention

We keep your account and study data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently erase your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain limited records for legal or tax purposes.

08Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
• Request deletion of your data ("right to erasure").
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Obtain a portable copy of your data.

09Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, restricted internal access, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information and will notify you and the National Privacy Commission of any breach as required by law.

We may update this policy as our service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and notify you by email or in-app notice before the changes take effect.
